DSIP References and Sources

Every quantitative claim in this digest traces to one of these peer-reviewed studies and reviews, with DOIs and PubMed links for each.

About these DSIP references

These are the sources behind this DSIP digest. The list runs from the 1977 discovery paper through the 2024 fusion-peptide study and a 2026 peptide review, and it spans the slow-wave sleep work, the blood-brain-barrier transport studies, the neuroendocrine and longevity research, and the critical reviews that flag how thin the evidence remains. Each citation includes a DOI or a PubMed link so any claim on this site can be checked at its source. Where the record is genuinely uncertain, the reviews here are the ones that say so plainly, and this digest leans on them deliberately rather than overstating what the primary studies found.
